Salou
Salou has become a firm favourite with stag & hen parties over the last couple of years mainly due to its great beaches, great weather and fantastic nightlife! Just a 2 hour flight from the UK, Salou is easily accessible from all major airports.
With an American owned themed park on its doorstep complete with its own water world, and Barcelona just an hour drive away, Salou really is the ideal destination for any stag or hen party.
The main hotel area is just 500 metres from the gently shelving expanse of Salou’s golden beach. There are literally hundreds of bars in the area and many large discos to choose from. All palates are catered for with many restaurants from Italian to Chinese, Indian to Mexican. Of course there are loads of British eateries for those who just prefer a bit of food like back home.
There are so many events to choose from including Bar Crawls and Magical Illusion shows to Theme parks and Waterparks.
Salou has seen massive growth in the last few years and has now become one of the biggest resorts for the major British tour operators.
The biggest nationalities are British and Dutch and the area also has a lot of Irish customers so there is definitely no shortage of great Irish bars to choose from.
Reus airport is just a 15 minute drive from Salou and saves the hassle of sitting on coaches for hours.
It has now become a major base for the low cost airline Ryanair and means short breaks can be really cost effective.
It is mainly just a summer resort running from April to October but the temperatures can reach into the high 90’s in the peak summer months.
The nightlife is fantastic due to millions of pounds being spent refurbishing the bars and clubs to make Salou a real cosmopolitan resort where you can party hard. The major clubs continue until 5.30am which is late enough for most people. There is also a Pacha nightclub in the neighbouring resort of La Pineda which has some top nights inviting the best DJ’s from all over Europe.
